Staying at Santa Elena Hotel Boutique was like stepping back in time. The charm of the hacienda design embraced us immediately. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the plaza and cathedral, allowing easy access to explore Mascota. We indulged in breakfast from 8 to 11 AM, which was a delightful start to each day. I loved that we could bring our little dog for only an extra $10, making it a truly family-friendly spot. The highlight of my room was the jacuzzi tub in the spacious bathroom. Although the hotel was beautiful, the upkeep on the rooms could use some attention. Our suite faced issues with hot water supply and a broken tub faucet that fell off when touched. Additionally, some light bulbs were missing, which detracted from the ambiance. The mattress in the king room was too firm for our liking, resulting in a few uncomfortable nights. Despite the drawbacks, the friendliness of the staff really shone through, as they helped with our luggage and provided useful advice on local sights. Overall, a charming hotel with a few maintenance needs.

A charming getaway in Mascota
The Santa Elena Hotel Boutique truly feels like a step back in time. With its beautiful traditional decor and spacious junior suite, I enjoyed peaceful mornings sipping coffee while overlooking the inner courtyard. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and I appreciated the relaxing breakfast filled with delicious pastries! Just a short walk from the plaza, we found ourselves exploring the vibrant local scene.
However, some upkeep is necessary. The hot water in the bathroom took forever to come through during the morning rush, and we encountered a broken faucet in the tub. The bed felt too firm for a good night's sleep, which slightly impacted our overall experience. A few minor repairs could really enhance this charming hotel.

The stay was memorable as we explored the beautiful Basilica de la Virgen de los Dolores and Plaza Principal, both just a short walk away. The room was spacious, and I particularly loved enjoying my morning coffee with a view of the peaceful inner courtyard, which added a beautiful touch to the experience. However, the bathroom's hot water issues did put a slight damper on our comfort during the stay.

Charming getaway with a few quirks
We had such a lovely time! The decor is super charming, and we loved the huge jacuzzi tub in our suite. Breakfast was a delight, especially those fresh pastries. Just a little bummer about the missing lamp bulb, though, and the staff took a while to bring us another. Still, a fab spot for a relaxing stay!
